Adventure travel - SpiceJet (GhettoJet)

Cheap as I am, I decided to fly Spicejet from Chennai to Bombay on my last trip to India because the fares were cheap. But oh my god it was one terrible experience....

First, ,the flight had a stop over in Bangalore, while the airline never mentions it in it website.

Then, we get into the aircraft the Air conditioner is not working and we are delayed for an hour on the tarmac. Finally, this is resolved and we are on our way, 45 minutes later the plane swings wildly all over, spins, drops, rises banks left then right and after a set of bizarre maneuvers we are dropped on the Bangalore airport runway. We wondered "Did we land or were we shot down.." On enquiry the stewardess said its because the pilot is overseas and is not aware of the airports and wind directions yet. Phew....

By now it was three hours into the flight and there was no food on the Aircraft. My son (2 year old) starts screaming because he is hungry, the stewardess offers him water. But refuses to let us get down and get some food from the airport in Bangalore.

We take off and then we have a fairly uneventful flight to Bombay except for when we have to land. Then it off to the carousel ride again.

For the return trip I gave up the ticket and flew AirSahara and what a difference - comfortable.

Please dont fly this spicejet. Unless you really dont care for your life.
