(IL)Legal immigration - Pays to be heard.
Latest stand by the American Government - Reward those who break the law and screw the ones who abide by it.
I have been working really hard for the last eight years in the United States, reading up and making sure I dont violate any INS (Immigration and naturalization resources) laws that would hurt my chances of getting a Green Card (referred to as Golden card in Desi Circles). I am in continious employment paying taxes to the Feds and all the other blah..blah..blah. and I am still waiting for this damn INS to adjudicate on my green card. In comes the president or some political party and decides they need votes - Its always about votes which ever part of the world, so they go ahead and apeice the Spanish vote bank by granting citizenship or offering to grant citizenship to 11 Million or so illigal hispanic immigrants. These are workers who have illegally entered the country, havent and dont pay taxes on thier earnings, are free to embrace violence and lawlessness. Its just unfair - but the truth is we dont have a voice despite being the most successful of the immigrants here in the United States we dont stand united, we cant even get a signature campaign against this INS. "Hola, Kepasa ?" - Seems to be the way to go.
